The Diva is a star who is shown to be powerful and the most important person in the video. There are generally lots of shots looking up and down the artist to make them seem big and imposing. There are quite often lots of silhouettes and out of focus shots because the star is so big that you would recognise them anyway. only very large stars such as Rihanna can pull of the diva image.
