For our website we needed to have items on a store page that fans of our band could go to and buy. We did research products that other bands like ours sell and found that for the most part, they sell a lot of t-shirts with things related to the band like the name or the logo. Because of this we have a bigger emphasis on clothing in our store, mainly t-shirts, hoodies and hats. We also have a design for a back pack as well as our album on the store too.

Website Draft

This is the current design of our bands website. It has the same purple color scheme that we have used while editing our photos and digipack to create a uniform look across our different areas. There will be working links to the store page where people will be able to buy our merchandise and we also intend to add a twitter feed banner down the side of all pages.
One thing we also wish to add to the top left of the page is a constant looping video of the waveform that goes over our logo that will play. There will also be a link to booking tickets for our tour which will also have a list of dates and locations for our tour.
We also intend to add links to an interview that we recorded of our band that will be under the video page that has a link at the top of the main page. The gallery shows photos from our various photoshoots that users of the page will be able to browse through.

Loud Summit Waveform Experiment
This is a video test made to see how the logo could work with a moving waveform to possibly use in our video or on our website. It has the waveform part of our logo replicated several times over and has it move along horizontally like a normal waveform would on an audio track and then the text logo of our band fades in at the end.
The idea is to try and incorporate this into the beginning of our music video is possible and to put it in the corner of our website. This would work by having the waveform constantly moving in the corner over where the text would be to have a continuous animation rolling while the user of the page is on there.
New Logo Idea
We came to the conclusion that our previous logo didn't look professional enough to represent us as a band. For this reason we have decided to change our logo to this one. This logo looks much more professional as it is much simpler and you can see it being used for an actual band.

Photographic Techniques
Photographic Techniques from jphibbert
This presentation contains lots of important information to consider when shooting our photoshoots. It tells you a lot about composition techniques and interesting effects you can make with the cameras and how you position yourselves.
COMPOSITION: Composition is the way everything is arranged in your shot. If you pay attention to the framing of your shots you can significantly improve them. You need to be clear on the subject and what story you're trying to tell. In my case for an indie band, I will be thinking about framing the picture interestingly and using darker colours. In composition you have got to consider whether you want your main object to be near to the camera or further away, thinking about if you want to show expression or whether you want to show the environment around the object. When taking your shots it is important to experiment with all types of views.
RULE OF THIRDS: The rule of thirds is creating intersections on your image and working out which section you want to place your main object in order to make the shot visually appealing. The focus of the shout should be at one of the 4 crosses in the image. However you don't always have to follow the rules as long as you justify the reason why you haven't.

Chosen Band Name Font
This is a possible font for our band name. It is suitable because it makes the m's in our name look like mountains which matches our name of 'Loud Summit'.

Social Media
We created both a Facebook and a Twitter page for our band
so that we could both promote our band through social media and gain traction
that way, but also to interact with followers or fans of the band through this
medium as this is something lots of band do, especially smaller ones. We have
so far only posted a little on these as we have just set them up.

Steel 'O' Matic
This is the Steal 'O' Matic I made from the Imagine Dragons Music video "Gold." They are a similar band to ours with and so we looked at their video to find examples of shots we would like to use in ours. This video is entirely performance based so the steal'o'matic contains a short variety of shot types and camera movements that are used when filming a performance. This is significant for us because our video will have lots of performance shots in it and so we can take some of the shots from this and attempt to replicate them to make our video better and more interesting to watch. We can also look at how long or short some of the shots are to make a note of for when it comes to editing our video. The pace of a music video is important so having a good example to use for reference is very useful to us
Digipak Draft
This is our digipak draft. The main colour scheme for our band is red, purple and black which is incorporated into our digipak to try and put across the image of our band. We used mountains to match our band name 'Loud Summit'. We didn't want to put too many photos of ourselves in the digipak because the indie band digipaks that we researched didn't inculde themselves that often.
Music Video Trailer
This is our trailer for our music video. This shows the kind of footage you would expect to see in our music video. Not all of the clips are coloured or edited to the quality we expect to have in our final video but it does show you our artistic views.
